So I was curious when I first discovered Vuori, an athleisure clothing brand that has been popping off all over social media feeds and by word of mouth. It’s been worn by celebs like Vanessa Hudgens, Harry Styles, Kaia Gerber, Gwyneth Paltrow, and more than likely several influencers on your FYP. But is it worth all the buzz?
Think of Vuori as the activewear brand that combines performance fabric and design with a laid-back California cool aesthetic. It’s a bit softer in appearance, design, and feel than some of its competitors. To put it to the test, my fellow Cosmo editors and I tried the brand’s best-selling styles to see which ones were actually worth buying. I think I’ve heard hype around these joggers for what seems like...years now? Made with Vuori’s signature DreamKnit fabric, these mid-rise, slightly cropped joggers are the real deal. Obsessed is an understatement when I think about these Vuori shorts that have legit become an everyday staple in my wardrobe. I am a stickler about athleisure shorts—I really dislike a lining in most instances and a waistband that digs into me is a deal-breaker. These shorts, however, don’t have a lining (which some may not be a fan of, but I personally love) and have the most comfortable thick waistband ever. I’ve worn these several times in the past few weeks, and every time I’ve put them on, I’ve gotten a compliment—no joke.

Another one of my newest obsessions is the pant version of my faves, the Villa Shorts. What is Vuori?
Founded in Southern California in 2015, Vuori began as a men’s activewear brand but has since expanded into women’s apparel too. What makes it unique in such an oversaturated market? Most notably, many of the brand’s bestsellers have a more airy, laid-back Cali vibe that feels noticeably less rigid than other activewear brands—but they’re still designed for optimal performance for a mix of comfort and functionality.
